DOWN SYNDROME GUILD OF DALLAS

iCan Shine is a nonprofit organization that teaches individuals with disabilities to ride a conventional two­wheel bicycle through its' iCan Bike program. We rely heavily on volunteers to ensure our riders meet their goals!

VOLUNTEER REQUiREMENTS:

• Experience working with individuals with IDD is l!J preferred, but NOT required

• 15 years of age or older

• Physically fit and able to run

2020 Virtual Turkey Trot

LACORE™ Staff members and their families took to the sidewalks this past weekend as participants in the worlds first ever “Virtual Turkey Trot.” Great job everybody for getting out and staying active!

Huntsville Hammer Adventure Triathlon

To end the 2020 triathlon season, LACORE™ employees ventured down to Huntsville State Park in Huntsville, Texas, this weekend to camp and participate in the annual Texas Adventure Racing Huntsville Hammer. Teams and solo racers participated in up to 6 hours of orienteering, canoeing, and mountain biking in a race against other teams to reach checkpoints before the clock ran out. Congratulations and great job to everyone who participated!
